Yeah I know I had been slow with the posting and stuff, but am really engrossed in trying to find a way to get one of the “bricks”, either the smaller one or the bigger one.
They are just so, so, sweet.
Anyway, these days I have been, thanks to the kind invitations from the dudes at Tech 65, been on their 65 bits podcasts relatively regularly. Have been on the past 2 weeks, on episodes 92 and 93, and before that, on episodes 87 and 85.

David Liittschwager: Tide Pool Portraits
To capture, process, and tag images for a recent National Geographic shoot, David Liittschwager took Aperture out to the beach. After all, that’s where the nudibranch hang out. There, Liittschwager tethered his Canon 1Ds Mark II to a shrouded MacBook Pro and used Aperture to make on-the-fly light and focus adjustments as he shot. How else has Liittschwager come to depend on Aperture for his work?

The Killers: Virtual Sessions
With producer Stuart Price in London and The Killers in Las Vegas, there was only one way for Day & Age to come of age. Using a remote Logic-based songwriting workflow, band members recorded their ideas in Logic then shared them via email and iDisk with each other and Price, who, a continent away, added drum loops, keyboard lines, and other effects to the songs before sending them back to Vegas.

Four-mouse rating for the LED Cinema Display
“The LED Cinema Display,” reports James Galbraith (macworld.com) in his review, “is bright, environmentally conscious, and looks great next to a new MacBook.” Applauding its “excellent viewing angle” and color fidelity, Galbraith also notes that “text was sharp and legible even at very small point sizes.”
